Mini Moony Pamper Parties: The UK's Kids Only Beauty Salon Making Headlines

Mini Moony Pamper Parties: Britain’s Beauty Salon Exclusively for Children Sparks Debate and Delights Young Clients

Havant, Portsmouth – Mini Moony Pamper Parties, the UK’s beauty salon exclusively designed for children, has taken the town of Havant, Portsmouth by storm since its opening in September. Featured in the national newspaper The Sun, Mini Moony has sparked a lively debate about childhood self care and modern parenting. Owner Simone Tai welcomes the discussion:

“We’re proud to be part of an open debate about pamper parties for children. The modern world is evolving, and with it, so are the ways we allow kids to express themselves and build confidence. For those who disagree, I’d ask—why is self care a bad thing for children? There are far worse things kids could get into than a little pampering with their friends.”

Simone, a mother of two, remains in her belief that pamper parties are a positive experience for kids, fostering self esteem and teaching selfcare habits in a fun, safe environment.

At Mini Moony, young clients aged three to thirteen are treated to fun mocktails, facials, nail painting with toxic free, peelable polish, jelly foot spas, and glittery hairdos. Each session ends with a lively disco, ensuring an unforgettable experience. Prices start at just £30 per child, making it an accessible treat for families.

Why Pamper Parties Are Popular for Kids

Pamper parties have grown in popularity in recent years, with celebrities like Paris Fury and Abbey Clancy embracing the trend. Mini Moony is proud to lead the way as the UK’s first dedicated children’s salon. Parents recognise the benefits of pamper parties in building kids’ confidence, encouraging creativity, and promoting positive self care habits from a young age.

Simone adds:

“It’s all about building connections with friends and giving kids a safe space to have fun. Self care isn’t shallow or harmful—it’s a way for children to feel good about themselves.”

A Sparkling Controversy

The salon’s rise hasn’t been without critics, with some accusing the concept of “adultifying” childhood. Social media has been divided, with some praising the idea and others questioning whether it’s appropriate for young children.

Despite the mixed reactions, parents like Josh Phillips are fully supportive. Josh, who brought his five year old daughter Callie to Mini Moony, commented:

“This is just harmless fun. In a world where we’re saying don’t judge others, I’d say to critics—live and let live.”

Barista Melanie Hutson, who works near the salon, agreed:

“It’s a refreshing change from another vape shop. The kids love it, and parents don’t have to deal with the cleanup!”
